Bluegrass Festival 4-7 pm
Mark your calendars now. St. John's 4th Annual Bluegrass Festival and 275th Anniversary! Saturday August 27, 2022
rain date Sunday August 28, 2022.
St. John's Episcopal Church, 129 Ledge Hill Road, North Guilford, CT will be celebrating its 275th anniversary this year. While we expect other events to mark its milestone, what we have scheduled thus far is a great 4th Annual Bluegrass Festival on Saturday August 27, 2022 with a rain day of Sunday August 28, 2022.
We will be beefing up our Festival with big name headliner bank "Amber Anchor" as well as "On the Trail" and "Grass Routes".
To make the event extra special this year we have invited Austin Scelzo to hold his "Pete Wernick Method" (jam instruction) class prior to the beginning of the Festival. Austin is President of the Connecticut Bluegrass Association and will not disappoint with his top notch bluegrass session the day of and prior to the event start time.
Additionally, for the first time ever, we will have an open jam session where paid guests can bring their own instruments and jam with other musicians during intermission. Experience is not necessary.
The event will take place in the beautiful serene hills of North Guilford, CT. We are located right off Rte 80. Take Long Hill Road and turn onto Ledge Hill at the top of the hill next to our neighbor, North Guilford Congregational Church. We will offer hot dogs, soda, water and roasted corn on the cob for sale. Bring your own picnic and chairs to this family event.
